Home for the holidays at the AH & L Showhouse

Introducing Ignat Ignatov Reading Home for the holidays at the AH & L Showhouse 2 minutes Next Decking our halls

One of our favorite annual events this time of year is Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles’ Christmas showhouse, Home for the Holidays. It’s always a fantastic showcase for Southeastern design talent and every room is a feast for the eyes. This year’s house runs through December 9th and we’re praying we get an hour’s reprieve from the retail madness at Huff Harrington to pop by and see what’s cooking.

There have been a couple of sneak peeks via Instagram to whet the appetite:

This is a gorgeous shot of Montgomery Gratch’s space. Can’t wait to see the rest of it. (Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles; photo: dhcphoto via Instagram.)

Are we seeing a pink theme going here? Florals from the talented Boxwoods. (Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles and photo by dhcphoto via Instagram)

We’re already drooling and truthfully, we’ve been stalking Instagram for regular updates about this house. But, since we’ll happily wait for the full reveal in Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles, we thought we’d get inspired by last year’s Home for the Holiday showhouse. There’s so much to see and it makes us so grateful for the incredible pool of design talent and resources we have here in Atlanta. Take a peek (all photography from Mali Azima, David Christensen, Emily Followill and Robert Peterson via Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles.)

Cathy Rhodes created this feminine and dreamy lounge spot near the master bedroom. Couldn’t you cozy up in this space?

We’re big fans of Bob Brown. He usually works in a neutral palette but last year, he declared “color is back!” and we love what he did with it!

This is probably the powder room that launched a thousand powder rooms! From Clary Bosbyshell.

Mallory Mathison is one of our favorite designers (and we loved watching her in action on one of our Paris buying trips last fall!). This room sums up her preppy, pretty and chic vibe.

Laura Walker is a dear old friend with a fabulous shop in Midtown. This is a fun, relaxed space. Art is by another pal, Steve McKenzie.

Shayelyn Woodbery worked her magic with this light-filled keeping room.

This year’s house is a brand-new 8,232 square foot estate in Buckhead clad in locally sourced limestone. The architecture, by Harrison Design, was inspired by Sir Edwin Lutyens.

The 10th annual Home for the Holidays showhouse. Looks gorgeous.

The showhouse benefits a worthy cause near and dear to our hearts: Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and we can’t think of a more fun way to raise some funds that to spend an hour or two gazing at fabulous design. Hurry and get your tickets soon – the showhouse closes on December 9th.

Maybe we’ll see you there!

Ta ta.
