What People Are Saying
I can’t thank you enough for a magical week in Provence! It surpassed all my expectations and more. You truly are an incredible hostess, on top of every detail and always a step ahead of our every need. Having Allison as our art instructor was the icing on the cake. Not only is her art beautiful, but she is a beautiful human and I’m so grateful for her guidance and instruction. It was a week to remember and I wouldn’t change a thing. Many many thanks!
I have traveled the world - and this trip is in my top five, not just because of the destination, but because the Huff Harrington experience is amazing. I would do it again anytime!
"My thoughts and a special part of my heart linger with you all and cherish the adventure we shared!! Linda, thank you for bringing the beauty of Provence to life for us and providing a space where magic could happen!"
Wow what an incredible trip! The phenomenal experience included everything I was hoping for- stunning landscapes, gorgeous colors, delicious food and wine. And oh the fellowship and art instruction far surpassed my expectations! Allison is so gracious to share her gifts! Linda is there to address every need! All the details are well taken care of. The house is exceptional- you can’t beat the amazing view! I’ve been twice and would go again in a heartbeat!
In March of 2024, I set off on my own for Paris to join the Huff Harrington Designers Buying Trip to Paris. Meg and Ann’s expertise and organization immediately set us up for a successful adventure. Their familiarity with the language, the landscape, and the best haunts to visit, left me at ease to focus on finding the best treasures to ship back. You could not ask for more professional and delightful hosts. It was a bucket-list item that checked all the boxes, and a ton of fun! I look forward to a future trip soon!
I have to say that spending that week with all of the other artists was inspirational both personally and professionally. Allison is a wonderful artist and provided some wonderful insight to evaluating my work and I was able to gain some information from her that I can use to advance my work. I gained some great information from the other ladies as well and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with each and every one of them. Although I enjoyed every day, my favorite day had to be the one that we spent plein air painting in the vineyard! How often do you get to do that?! However, having the opportunity to stand on the same path as Vincent Van Gogh and paint the lavender field that he would have seen from his room in the hospital where he stayed for an extended period of time was a moving experience not to be forgotten. Every day was five stars and I wish I were back there right now. The only negative is that I had to say goodbye to such a wonderful group of ladies! I fell in love with each and everyone of them and hope to be able to continue corresponding and visiting with each of them. Thank you, Linda, for all of your hard work to make this such a spectacular experience. Definitely worthy of the Huff Harrington stamp of approval.
What can I say! After my 4th trip in 5 years, I still LOVE everything about spending the week Les Murets with the very talented Allison Chambers. Allison meets each artist where they are in their own art journey - offering positive encouragement while teaching and sharing all of her tricks. She shares so generously. I have to say that I have come an along way in my journey as an artist - I think I painted two paintings the first trip and left with five this past trip. Success! Although working in plein air is not my norm, it contributes immensely to my process. Whether it’s painting in the footsteps of the Impressionists, lunch with a view of the Luberon Valley, shopping at markets in the quaint little villages or sticking my toes in the waters on the coast in Cassis - the entire experience is surrounded by art at every corner. The villa is beautifully appointed with everything you could possible need - a comfortable, lovely home-away-from- home. The views are breathtaking - the meals fabulous - laughter contagious and the friends you leave with are priceless. Allison and Linda, with the assistance of Christophe, make sure every detail is tended to - all you have to do is show up! Thank you for making my trip so special, again! I can’t wait to go back!
"Hi girlfriends! Bliss and more bliss being with each of you, hearing your stories and delighting in the serendipitous way our hours wove together under the magical air de Provence. I have tucked you each in a keepsake space in my soul and treasure the time spent reflecting on your unique selves. What fun we are going to have on our reunion trip(s)! Until then, I am drinking deeply from the trough of memories. Bye for now."
"Memories for a lifetime! Thank you Allison, Linda and the rest of the Painting In Provence gang! A bientot!"
The perfect girls trip! Everything was planned to perfection. All we had to do was show up and have a fabulous time. Linda was a wonderful host! I want to come back.
I stumbled upon Huff Harrington’s “Antique Buying Trip in Paris” years ago and instantly dreamed of going. One day, I decided to stop dreaming and just do it! I’m so glad I did—it was the experience of a lifetime! Ann and Meg were fantastic hosts. The trip was perfectly organized yet wonderfully balanced. We antiqued, ate, drank, and met some incredible women. It was like adult camp, but even better! The shopping was a blast. Whether you come home with several items or just a few small treasures, the experience is unforgettable. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend it. Don’t keep dreaming about it like I did—go for it!
