Hi folks: we're so excited to launch another Instagram art auction round this coming week to benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

Two weeks ago, we gratefully raised $4,500 for the Food Bank, a wonderful Atlanta non-profit that is being stretched to its limit in distributing food to people in need.

Every painting we posted sold! It was so fun for us (and our very generous artists) to watch the bidding and to see paintings going to happy new homes, all for a good cause.

So, here's how it works:  follow the auction at @huffharringtonauction, take a peek at the available paintings and their starting bid - and have at it. Anything over the starting bid will be donated to the Food Bank.

The auction starts this coming Wednesday, May 20th at 9 a.m. and ends on Thursday, May 21st at 8 p.m.

Here's a sampling of the gorgeous work that's been donated by our wonderful artists and is up for grabs:

Judith Williams, Accepted Wisdom, 36 x 36

Retail: $1,800 Opening bid: $900

How would this look in a room? Pretty gorgeous, don't you think?

Steve McKenzie's Tangent I

Retail: $425 Opening bid: $212.50

 J Austin Jennings' Early Hours, 36 x 48

Retail: 2,900 Opening bid: $1,450

Mel Rea's Mine To Tell III, 30 x 22

Retail $1,200 Opening bid: $600

Jim Seitz: Long Hot Summer, 36 x 36

Retail: $4,750 Opening bid: $2,375

How would Jim Seitz's painting look in a room?

Pretty fabulous if you ask us.

Justin Kellner, who paints the most glorious paintings of birds has put this beauty up for the auction: Around and Around, Eastern Phoebe, 48 x 20.

Retail: $1,800 Opening bid: $900

Here are some more paintings to whet your appetite for bidding:

Bethanne Cople's My Life is Like a Stroll Upon Beach, 5 x 11. Such a little gem of a painting (and she titles all her work after lines of poetry.)

Retail: $900 Opening bid: $450

Lorraine Christie's Here and There, 24 x 18

Retail: $6,350 Opening bid: $3,175

There will be more paintings to bid on and we'll have all the contenders up on @huffharringtonauction in time for bidding to begin this coming Wednesday at 9 a.m.

If you bid on a painting during the last round, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts - and if you didn't, check out the auction and maybe you'll see a piece that makes your heart race.

This is a win-win: you get a painting you love - and we all get to help feed those in need. What's not to love about that?

Happy bidding!

Looking for new work by Melissa Payne Baker or Chris Ross. Please let me know if you have anything that I would be interested in. We are getting our house ready for the Atlanta Arch tour that was rescheduled for this September.

Thanks
