Somehow, Huff Harrington is turning 20.

This is a letter of thanks to you.

What began as a fledgling little art gallery has grown into quite a story: one adventure, one idea and, more than occasionally, one "why not?" at a time.

Along the way, there have been talented artists and beautiful walls to fill. There have been antiques and home furnishings. Design installations, buying trips and an office in Paris. There have been more gallery openings, parties and celebrations than we can count, more than a few glasses of wine and, of course, those slightly cheeky ads that made it pretty clear we were having fun every step of the way.

But the very best part of these twenty years has always been the people.

To our clients, who have trusted us with your homes, collected our artists' work, traveled to Paris and Provence with us and come back again and again - we say thank you. Your friendship, enthusiasm and faith in us have meant more than we can possibly express.

To our wonderfully talented Huff Harrington peeps, past and present, who brought the ideas, the energy, the humor and more than a little magic - we simply couldn’t have done any of it without you.

And to our families and friends, who have cheered us on, pitched in, put up with us and supported every crazy idea along the way, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Twenty years later, we’re still having fun, still dreaming up what comes next and feeling enormously lucky that so many of you have been part of this wonderful ride.

Here’s to all of you, to the adventures behind us and in front of us - and to whatever the next twenty may bring.

Cheers to 20 years!

With love and gratitude,
Ann & Meg

Huff Harrington's 20 Years in the Making

2006 to 2026

Join us on a little walk down memory lane:
2006:  We begin swapping casual tips about running home-based art businesses and decide to meet, for the first time in person, for lunch at Anis in Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood.  The crazy part? At the end of the lunch, we shake hands and decide to open a retail gallery together.

We had to go back to where it all started to share a glass of bubbles and celebrate our 20 years of Huff Harrington.

Huff Harrington Fine Art, a cute little white gallery with a blue door on a quiet street in Buckhead opens in 2026 and the very first employee is the one-and-only Linda Mohan who still leads the gallery brilliantly to this day.

2007-2008:  time races by with wonderful and creative artists, supportive artists and countless fun and lively gallery openings.  We are having so much fun!

An opening at the gallery: Linda, Demaris, Meg, Ann and Mac.

2009: as a recession looms, we start thinking outside the box - and begin offering guided tours of Provence, which later expand to painting workshops in Provence as well as antiquing in Paris.  Who knew we'd turn into quasi-travel agents?

2011: one of the things we love about each other is that we both run pretty much at the same speed: fast!  So, five years into owning a business together, we started thinking about Huff Harrington, part deux.  After vetting dozens of ideas and writing dozens of business plans, we end up with Huff Harrington Home, a traditional retail business, specializing in French antiques and all the things we love with a passion.  Raise your hand if you remember our first location: it was next to the St. Regis and our early neighbors were DryBar, B. Braithwaite and Lucy's Market!

2016: things are going well - and we're still having fun! We move to Buckhead Court to a light-filled space that we just love. Our neighbors are Range Boutique, Dtox, Stellar Bodies and Superica.

Does anyone remember the funny little ads we did?

2019: we've been doing it quietly on the side for our clients, but in 2019, we take a big leap of faith and open Huff Harrington Design, a full-service interior design firm. We're instantly awash with samples and mood boards while our design team cooks up the most beautiful and creative schemes.

2020: uh oh. That was not a good spring.  We close our doors, worry about everyone and everything and spend the quarantine days coming up with new business ideas and ways to reach our dear customers, all of whom are stuck inside.  As things improve, life becomes slightly more normal.

2021: a dream comes true! We stumble on a gorgeous, three-story, 8,500 square-foot building at The Galleries of Peachtree Hills, right next to ADAC.  We realize this is the most perfect spot for us, where we can combine all of our beloved businesses under one roof. We've always wanted to own our real estate so we both happily sign on the dotted line. We open the doors in October - we're thrilled! Have you met some of our fun neighbors:  Bob Brown's Townhouse, Webb-Marsteller, Robuck Antiques, Spalding Nix Fine Art and Mrs. Howard.

Also in 2021: you know what they say: Paris is ALWAYS a good idea!  Somebody (that would be Ann!) comes up with another fabulous idea: let's open an interior design studio/boutique in Paris. How could we not? Ann and Bill move to Paris and today, 35 projects later, Huff Harrington Paris is full-steam ahead.

A view to die for, from one of Ann's Paris projects (actually, it's hers!)

2026: whoo-hoo! We’re celebrating 20 years of all the things we love: art, antiques, interiors, travel, wonderful clients, treasured friendships, lessons learned (some learned the hard way!) and, most importantly, having a whole lot of fun while doing it.

2027 and beyond: who knows? But thank you for taking this wonderful ride with us - and let's keep going!
