This black Chinoiserie commode is full of hand-painted details, with gilt scenes of pagodas, figures and landscapes framed by a playful geometric border. The gently curved front, slender tapered legs and brass knobs give it an elegant shape, while the aged painted finish adds plenty of patina and character. A statement piece that would be fabulous in an entry, bedroom or tucked beneath a favorite piece of art (our favorite)! Circa 1920.
