Sherrie Russ Levine is an artist noted for her paintings that capture the play of light and color as it appears in nature, and provide a welcome respite from the hectic environment of modern life. Her moody landscapes are more about the essence of a place rather than its exact location, and she strives to transport you there with an emotional connection.

Sherrie grew up on the east coast in Georgetown, SC and attended Ringling School of Art & Design in Sarasota, FL where she received her degree in graphic design and illustration. After graduating in 1981 she worked in advertising agencies and art departments in Atlanta, GA for 10 years before making Nashville, TN her home. Since 1995 she has focused on painting in oils and has shown in galleries and juried shows throughout the United States.

Levine's paintings are gaining national recognition in private collections, painting competitions and as The 2017 Featured Artist of Huntsville Museum of Art's Annual GALA. She continues to evolve and has studied painting with renowned artists:

Terry Miura, CW Mundy, Lori Putnam, and Maggie Siner whom are among the most influential in her work.
