Whether we’re waking up in Atlanta, Paris, or any other locale in between, there’s one app that keeps us connected and coming back for more. Instagram and its lovely little squares have us double tapping a “like,” hitting the “save” button and leaving lots of love in the comments on posts that pop up in our feed. New work from favorite artists, gorgeous design projects, and travel eye candy provide aesthetic inspiration in spades. Looking for some fabulous accounts to follow? Below are our favorites!
THE COOK’S ATELIER
@thecooksatelier
We’re obsessed with this mother-daughter team who landed in Burgundy and decided to open a cooking school. What’s not to love about them? Their posts make us drool and their photography is just spot on. Plus, that sounds like our dream job!
ATLANTA HOMES & LIFESTYLES
@atlantahomesmag
Well, AH&L is our design bible so we hang on everything they post. Their photography and imagery is always gorgeous and we love that it’s all local design talent. Atlanta’s got it going on in the design world, that’s for sure!
EMILY GIFFIN
@emilygiffinauthor
We’re huge fans of Emily’s and have followed her since the early days when she had just moved to Atlanta and was publishing her first book. Her posts are always honest and funny and give us a peek into her real life. Every once in a while, she’ll go out on a limb about something controversial and we love that she’s not afraid to have an opinion.
CAKE ATELIER AMSTERDAM
@cakeatelieramsterdam
This Insta account is just incredible eye-candy. The founder, Natasja Sadi, is an incredibly talented fashion designer who now designs custom cakes and bouquets. Her photography has a Vermeer quality to it (she does live in Amersterdam, after all) and we just love her intro: “ Ever since I was a little girl I’ve been madly in love with elegant princess dresses and fancy flower bouquets. This love led me to a passion to make my own beautiful creations and it’s kept me busy throughout my life. For the last twenty years I’ve designed wedding gowns, dresses and lovely little frocks for women and little ladies throughout Europe. Fashion will always mean the world to me and will continue to be a huge source of inspiration but these past few years my creative passion has led me to baking and designing cakes.” Check this one out, you’ll be so glad you did.
SHERRY HART
@sherryhdesigns
We think Sherry’s got a great eye for design. We love the peeks into her projects and how spontaneously she posts. She’s also got a funny sense of humor that really shines through her posts.
DANA WOLTER INTERIORS
@danawolterinteriors
Dana’s light-filled, texture-rich spaces always leave us wanting more. We enjoy following this Birmingham-based designer for her approach to bringing elegance to the everyday from setting a table to accessorizing your entry.
PALOMA CONTRERAS DESIGN
@palomacontrerasdesign
We’re sure you have seen Paloma’s new book, Dream Design Live, posted by the chicest accounts on Instagram lately and there’s good reason why. Paloma’s talent for design is matched by her writing skill, great taste in fashion, travel and restaurants and we’re soaking up all of it!
MANON21
@manon21life
Scenes of French life in Provence, Lyon and Paris unfold in the most organic, gorgeous way on Manon 21’s Instagram feed. From a perfectly browned fig tart to blooming hydrangea bushes covering a provincial home, get ready to find your inner Francophile.
WAITING ON MARTHA
@waitingonmartha
We have to give some local love to Mandy Kellogg Rye of Waiting on Martha. Her feed is just as pretty as her blog and chock full of helpful tips from fashion must-haves to entertaining essentials.
MIMI THORISSON
@mimithor
There’s nothing quite like a beautifully plated comfort meal to transport us back to France. Cook and author Mimi Thorisson gives us a glimpse inside her idyllic countryside life through recipes, family shots and the incredible ambiance of her home.
We hope you’ll find plenty of inspiration from these lovely ladies and make sure you’re following us at @huffharrington for glimpses of new store arrivals, just-arrived art at the gallery, snaps from our trips to France and much more!

Thanks for sharing your top Instagram follow post. I have just found your blog and am so delighted there are others who share a love of simple beauty, art and travel too. Some of my most incredible plein air painting days have been spent in southern France, northern Italy, northern BC/southern Alaska (panhandle) and recently Old Town Puerto Vallarta. Thanks for sharing your perspective and I look forward to finding you on instagram.
