Start practicing your bonjours and mercis: our 2019 trip dates are here! We love any excuse to go to France and nothing makes us happier than gathering a group of like-minded women and sharing our love of Paris and Provence with them. For 2019, we’re excited to offer a selection of trips that cover everything from hardcore scouring for one-of-a-kind furniture and accessories to relaxing in the Provencal countryside – and even setting up an easel and painting with some expert instruction. And with each trip, we take care of all the details – from accommodations to reservations – so you can relax and enjoy la vie francaise.
Do you love louis?
If you adore the thrill of the hunt and obsess over anything Louis XVI or maybe mid-century modern, then join us for one of our Paris buying trips.
We’ll take care of all the nitty-gritty details of negotiating, purchasing and shipping back to the U.S. We’ll introduce you to some of our favorite vendors, help you navigate through the famous Puces (flea market) as well as a lively street market where you never know what you’ll find or who you’ll see – and a wonderful antiques fair outside Paris that dates back to the Middle Ages. We’ll spend a day indulging in Paris’ retail meccas and an exhibit or two and frequent the fun neighborhood restaurants in the evening hours.
You’ll stay in a beautifully-appointed apartment or a little boutique in the chic Seventh Arrondisement and we promise, you’ll feel like a vrai Parisienne by the time the trip is over.
A little of both: paris and provence
Want more time to discover Paris’s spectacular sights and shopping? How about that – followed by five days relaxing in the countryside? Then Paris and Provence is for you. We spend three full days in Paris visiting museums and exhibits, iconic sites and sights and having some fun a little retail shopping. Then, we whisk you down to Provence where you get to relax in the lavender-scented air, shop the charming village markets and visit the Mediterranean.
Home base in Provence is the lovely Les Murets, a warm and welcoming home in the Luberon where a tennis court and pool await – and the views will bring tears to your eyes.
And if Provence is your idea of heaven, then check out a Week in Provence. You’ll be escorted around le Luberon by our driver and you’ll take in all kinds of sights, from breathtaking villages perched on mountain cliffs to a never-ending cheese tray at one of our favorite restaurants. After a full day of exploring, you’ll relax to a catered dinner served by candlelight on the beautiful terrace. (Note: a couple groups of very excited trippers have already booked this one, so it’s currently waiting list only.)
I want to paint in Provence!
Who doesn’t? Ann and I are always swearing that one of these days, we’ll sign up for one of our painting trips and finally master the art of putting that glorious pink Provencal sunset on canvas. But until then, we’re committed to creating a wonderful artistic experience that focuses on painting with an expert artist – but we mix it up with a little bit of market shopping, some lovely lunches and cozy, seasonally-fresh dinners back at Les Murets.
If your idea of fun is setting up in a Provencal meadow where a riot of gorgeous colors and light await your paint brush, then you might just enjoy our Painting In Provence trip.
Make lifelong friends along the way…
Why do we love our trips so much? One thing is sure: we never get tired of is watching friendships blossom and grow.
Is it the sense of adventure that comes with being in a new and different environment? Check. Is it the wine-tinged lunches and dinners? Check, check. Soaking up the magic of Paris at night? Oui. Is it the hours of relaxed chatting and animated conversation on a Provencal terrace after a delish dinner of locally-sourced ingredients? Absolutely!
