Hi readers, Emily here! A crispness in the air has finally hit Atlanta and fall has officially arrived. Festive displays of Mums and gourds look lovely as you drive by homes ready to usher in the autumn season. Here at Huff Harrington, we're brimming with fall-inspired accessories to bring that same seasonal spirit indoors. We've rounded up some of our favorite cozy spaces for inspiration and show you five easy ways to get the look in your own abode!

Soft textures makes this room perfect for fall! Design by Tara Shaw, image via Veranda.

Texture Time

Pillows and throws are a fool-proof way to update your space. It won't cost much to switch out your spring-hued pillows for a pair that reflects the falling foliage outside. We're also big fans of a luxurious throw draped across a favorite sofa or club chair. Did we mention these items store like a dream? Just set them in the linen closet and bring out seasonally.

MANTLE MAKEOVER

Nothing says fall quite like a fireplace. The mantle is the perfect spot to add some autumnal flair, be it with birch logs inside or decorative accessories on top. Some small pumpkins and flowers will also do the trick!

TERRIFIC TABLETOP

From football parties to Thanksgiving, autumn is the ultimate season for gathering. Make your spread extra inviting with versatile pieces that mix charmingly with the china that’s already in the cabinets. Acacia wood is an easy and handsome way to add some rich tones to the table.

Chic and casual at the same time! We love wood tableware for its ability to blend with any tabletop.

Don’t forget the bar! If you’re going fancy, add beautiful gold rimmed glasses to each place setting or if you’re foregoing formal, acrylic wine and champagne flutes are the ticket.

AUTUMNAL ART

We’re not suggesting you purchase a piece of fine art just to make your living room feel cozier in the fall, but there’s no better excuse to play “musical canvases” with your existing collection. If you have a work with more dramatic, dark tones that’s in the study or office, try it out in the den. It may contrast perfectly and the light-filled abstract you had in that room can take a little vacation to another wall in the house.

Our friend Sherry Hart from Design Indulgence makes a moody and elegant Dawne Raulet pop in her dining room.

FLOWER POWER

Think outside of the vase for centerpieces this time of year. Wooden vessels, silver champagne buckets and textured pots make for a chic autumnal statement. Make an elegant arrangement with seasonal blooms, keep it casual with long stemmed sunflowers or go for rustic with magnolia clippings.

Our very own Sam Jones made this breathtaking Thanksgiving arrangement using blooms (and edibles!) in a wood ice bucket.
