De Coène Frères Brutalist Period Stained Oak Sideboard with Contrasting Colors

A De Coene Frères Brutalist period stained oak sideboard from the mid-20th century with two doors, multiple inner drawers and shelves.

This chic, mid-century modern, brutalist stained oak console comes with two-door panels revealing eight drawers that are crafted of high quality woodwork. The outside features a contrasting wooden façade that presents a striking complement to the stained black body. There is a delicate line of wood that provides a classic graphic element. The console rests on two handsome corbel-shaped legs that also provide a contrast to the angular body. There is plenty of storage on either side of the drawers. This is a singular and original design, and we have never seen anything like it.

Attributed to De Coene brothers.

Circa 1950.

90.5" W x 23" D x 39" H.
